compare and contrast Gazmend Kapllani’s account of his migration to Greece in A Short Border Handbook and Stratis Doukas’, A Prisoner of War’s Story. Consider how each author addresses the themes of homeland, hospitality, racism/discrimination, and language. You do not have to write about all of these- you can focus on any combination of themes or something else that you’d like. Additional questions you might wish to consider: What is the tone of each narrative and how is it created (language, structure, etc)? What commonalities do these accounts share; what are the differences?
